About Us

World Addresses has developed an affordable, secure, and easily customized software platform that seamlessly integrates into both internal and external (website) backend systems. Uniting advanced highly rated technology within an easy-to-use developer and end-user interface, World Addresses is a turnkey address validation and data management solution for any global company dealing with large amounts of customer mailing data.

Our parent company, Allies Computing Ltd, has been the leading provider of postal lookup and address validation software in the U.K. for more than 20 years, with 10 PostCoder® products in the current company portfolio. In fact, Allies has been a key driver of the industry through its involvement with Royal Mail, and several members of our executive team have worked closely with the United Nation’s Universal Postal Union (UPU) S42 Work Group.

Our knowledge of the industry and successful track record with clients around the world has resulted in a number of awards and active involvement with professional industry groups, including:

  • United Nations Universal Postal Union S42 Work Group
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing
  • BCS, The Charted Institute for IT
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • Royal Mail Postcode Address File (PAF®) Advisory Board
  • Global Address Data Association

We have been recognized for our commitment to providing an outstanding work environment for our employees, the majority of whom have been with Allies for five years or more. Giving back to the communities where our employees live and work is also a priority guided by our company ethics. Among our many community activities and memberships:

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management System Accreditation
  • Investors in People Certification

Chief Executive Officer

Emma Gooderham is Managing Director of Allies Computing Ltd and CEO of WorldAddresses, Inc. She has been working in addressing for more than eight years and represents UK businesses on the Royal Mail’s PAF® Advisory Board and the Global Addresses Data Association Steering Committee. She works closely with the UPU’s S42 addressing work group to help promote global standards and has implemented it within World Addresses software.

Emma joined Allies Computing Ltd in 2001 just as it was beginning to gain traction with its portfolio of Windows-based PostCoder® programs. Emma immediately saw the industry potential for Allies software and spent the next few years building a sales and marketing team and establishing reseller and partner relationships. In 2007 she was named Allies Managing Director; three years later, she launched World Addresses and opened the company’s first overseas office in San Francisco.

An intrepid international traveler, she regularly tours various countries each year for both personal inspiration and to promote the World Addresses brand and benefits to clients.

Peter and Lorna Allies founded Allies Computing Ltd. in 1986. Peter holds a Ph.D. in chemistry but abandoned the laboratory in favor of computer programming when he realized the potential of the Internet. He was working with a local hospital in 1990 when the U.K. National Health Service Internal Market was being introduced, and that led him into address management technology. Peter managed the company until 2007. He has now returned to his passion and is sharing his expertise for computer programming with the Allies IT team. In his free time you can find him either working on the Norwich manor house, learning the piano, or cooking for his family.
