A recent study conducted by OnePoll has found that although both e-commerce and m-commerce will grow dramatically over the holidays – 90% of survey respondents said they were planning to purchase at least some gifts online, with 23% intending to use a smartphone to buy them. Almost 40% of online shoppers would abandon any website or app that take more than 10 seconds to load. The boom in e-commerce and m-commerce is therefore a massive opportunity for retailers, who are fighting hard for market share in tough economic times but the potential to get it wrong is enormous.
World Addresses have just returned from Cloudforce in Munich, Germany, where we met up with customers and business partners, but unfortunately we had just missed the Oktoberfest! Luckily though, we still managed to take in some of the local culture alongside our meetings.
We attended the Cloudforce event at the International Congress Centre and learnt of the rapidly evolving market in Germany and other countries in Europe for both CRM platforms such as Salesforce, but also the myriad of associated applications that can integrate with them. World Addresses provides a superb means of integrating address lookup / capture for internal processes like Customer Management, and we have recently launched specific plugins for SalesForce and Microsoft Dynamics CRM’s.

Dreamforce, now in its 9th year, is self-hailed as the ‘Cloud Computing Industry Event of the Year’ and is organized by Salesforce.com Inc, the Web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Dreamforce is Salesforce’s premier event each year, and World Addresses has decided to attend as we think it will give us the ideal opportunity to launch our plug-in directly to the people that matter, the Salesforce customers and developers.
According to the JAX Conference website, JAX is one of the world’s most comprehensive conferences on web and enterprise development. It provides the ideal forum for software developers, project managers and architects to learn about all the latest Technology, Architecture and Agile Methodologies.
